Latham & Watkins has hired capital markets specialist Richard Lee as a partner in Seoul from the Hong Kong office of Clifford Chance. Lee had been co-head of Clifford Chance’s Korea practice since 2019. The Magic Circle firm, where Lee worked for more than a decade, recently announced it was shuttering its Korea office. U.S. firm White & Case has added capital markets specialist Margie Chan as a partner in Hong Kong from Norton Rose Fullbright (NRF). Chan’s arrival comes about two months after White & Case lost senior lawyers to NRF in Hong Kong: PE/M&A partner Peggy Wang and counsel Victor Sim, who focuses on leveraged, structured and real estate finance. Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright is expanding its Singapore projects practice with the arrival of partner Andrew Digges.
Andrew, who joins from Ashurst, has over 20 years’ experience in project finance and project development with a focus on the energy, renewables, transport, utilities and social infrastructure sectors. He also has in-depth knowledge of the Indonesian market, having worked in Jakarta for five years earlier in his career.
